I grew up in a household in which there was no cursing. In fact, the one (and only) time I heard my mother accidentally use the word “damn,” I was astounded. I was then about 12.
Eventually I moved to NYC, where (as Lewis Black says), f*ck is a comma. I’m now exploring my relationship with four-letter words in a series of paintings.
“Four-Letter Words No. 4 (Clitoris)” is acrylic on canvas, 8 x 10 inches (20.5 x 25 cm) and comes unframed with my apologies to Robert Indiana.
